Mystery was in the air last night at the corner of S Farwell & Eau Claire St as hundreds of people gathered to give the new Bon Iver album a listen. The event brought in people from all over the midwest and included a newspaper stand with the boombox playing the new album on tape.
This was my first year getting to see what this "Eaux Claires" Festival thing was all about. I have to say that this festival was definitly the best experiences I have ever had at a music festival. I do not listen to a majority of the bands who played however the experience was unforgettable. Leading up to the festival I worked for local Eau Claire merch company Ambient Inks on the some visual projects to release merch designs. Once at the festival I did coverage of the overall Ambient operations for future marketing and planing for next year. These are not all of my festival photos, however these images are photos of the people and the bands that made this festival one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
I am so thankful to have meet Aaron Telitz a few years back. I reached out to Aaron asking if I could check out a race sometime to take some pictures. He had some good news saying he had one that weekend in Elkhart Lake WI and it was going to be a big one. It was my first experience photographing this type of event and I am hooked! Aaron has won back to back races at Road America and has inspired me to head out next year for the full weekend.
